Lytle ISD Technology Personnel

The Lytle ISD Technology personnel work together to help teachers and staff improve instruction in the classrooms. Our goal is to integrate technology into rigorous relevant curriculum, while improving instruction through content delivery to engage our students. We appreciate what these individuals do to assist us in reaching our goal. These are the roles they participate in daily.

Kenneth Englehart-Technology Director  Oversees over 600 workstations in the district, an assortment of laptops, network printers, servers, and software. Maintain monitor, & service: Internet, E-mail, Time Clock, Earobics, Read Naturally, Fast For-Word, & Destination servers, Surveillance cameras, Cisco phone systems, High School bell schedules. Lytle ISD Webmaster, RSCCC Coordinator, Task Force coordinator. Video Conferencing Site Manager. Develops and coordinates plans and policies, resources, and mission as well as goals, vision, and expectations of agency or program; prepares and updates plans and priorities. Audits and reviews systems and practices to ensure compliance with procedures, regulations and standards. Develops or modifies rules, policies, or standards, etc. Participates in establishing direction, goals, and policies. Meets with agency managers and directors to determine needs and challenges. Supervises District Technicians including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions. Oversees purchasing of equipment & software.

Paula Campa-District Wide Technician
Helps oversee over 600 workstations in the district, an assortment of laptops, network printers, servers, and software. Helps to insure that equipment is up and running, district e-mail accounts are setup, rebuilding units, and configuring units, units deployed and installed, along with staff development. Instructs in-service training, and computer training classes for staff and community members in conjunction with E-rate. Parent contact for Digital Knowledge Central passwords; Call (830) 5105 Ext 4104.

Terri Pringle- District Campus Technician
Helps oversee over 600 workstations in the district, an assortment of laptops, network printers, and software. Helps to insure that equipment is up and running, district e-mail accounts are setup, and configuring units, units deployed and installed, along with staff development. Instructs in-service training, and computer training classes for staff and community members in conjunction with E-rate.

Donelle Harris-Junior High Technology Facilitator
Assist Jr. High & High School teachers and students in the use of available technology. Assist Jr. High & High School teachers in the creation of lessons and projects that incorporate the use of technology. Assist teachers & students in use of online resources available through ESC Region 20 Educational Resources Co-op and State funded K-12 databases. Train teachers and students in the use of software and online subscriptions purchased by the district. Inventory and monitor use of available portable technology on Jr. High campus. AEIS-IT Administrator for Jr. High campus: Monitor and update AEIS-IT Online database for entire district, Jr. High UIL Coordinator. Parent contact for Digital Knowledge Central passwords; Call (830) 5115 Ext 4403.


Joe Lytle-Primary & Elementary Technology Facilitator
Provide training, guidance, and support to teachers as they teach and integrate technology in all areas of classroom instruction. Assist Primary & Elementary teachers and students in the use of all technology available to them. Assist Primary & Elementary teachers in the creation of lessons and projects that incorporate the use of technology. Assist Primary & Elementary teachers & students in use of online resources available through ESC Region 20 Educational Resources Co-op and State funded K-12 databases. Manage web and server-based technology curriculum, train teachers and students in the use of software and online subscriptions purchased by the district. Inventory and monitor use of available portable technology assets on Elementary & Primary campuses. Monitor and update AEIS-IT Online database for Elementary campus. Parent contact for Digital Knowledge Central passwords; Call (830) 5130 Ext 4510


Joe Corona-High School BCIS Teacher
Teaches basic word processing, data processing, spreadsheet graphics, power point presentations, Internet and E-mail skills in a business setting, and Microsoft Specialist certification and A+ certification.Facilitates operation organization, supervision & inventory of the lab.

-High School Journalism Teacher, U.I.L. director
Teaches journalism. Uses special software to produce the student publications, including the Lytle Highlight newspaper and the Jolly Roger yearbook. U.I.L. program director for the district. Facilitates operation organization, supervision & inventory of an eight-station mini-lab.

-High School Video Conference Facilitator
Palo Alto Dual credit Economics & English Comp. Introduces the students to the Video Conference experience, facilitates on-site discussions during the conference and afterwards guides the students to reflect on next steps i.e. homework assignments. Distributes & collects assignments.

Dion Santos-Junior High BSS Teacher
Facilitates operation organization, supervision & inventory. Teaches the basics of Microsoft Office, how to write checks, and how to travel abroad. Web Design: Teaches students to collect text documents and images that will appear on a webpage and convert them into a form in which they can be viewed. This requires a mastery of HTML (hypertext markup language), the computer language used to create web pages.

Sherry Beard-Junior High Keyboarding/Journalism Teacher (Newspaper/Yearbook)
Teaches journalism, and keyboarding. Yearbook students are using special software & pictures (taken with digital cameras) to create a yearbook. Newspaper is two-semester class. Students learn basic journalism principles while producing a monthly newspaper. First issue was printed November 14, 2007. Yearbook is a two-semester class. Students learn basic journalism principles while producing a yearbook. Yearbooks will be pre-sold and delivered on the last day of school. Keyboarding is a one-semester class in which students learn touch-typing and improve typing speed. Half the 7th graders take the class in the first semester and half take it in the second semester.

Norma Mueller-Elementary School Computer Lab Manager
Computer is ¼ of rotation for 2nd-5th grades, which follow guidelines according to the Technology TEKS. Students visit lab at least once a week, to reinforce what is learned in the classroom: Reading, Spelling, Math, Science, History, etc. Facilitates operation organization, supervision, & inventory of the lab. Also performs monthly maintenance to the lab (clears cookies, temps, etc.)

Jesus Rizo-Primary School Computer Lab Manager
Computer is ¼ of rotation for K-1st grades, which follow guidelines according to the Technology TEKS. Students visit lab at least once a week, to reinforce what is learned in the classroom: Reading, Spelling, Math, Science, History, etc. Facilitates operation organization, supervision & inventory of the lab.

Brenda Emley, District Librarian/Media Specialist/Public Relations
Librarian/Media Specialist: Maintains the library environment, identifies resources to support the curriculum, fosters a school-wide love of books and literacy, and supports students in developing age appropriate research, media, and library skills. Works closely with classroom teachers in identifying and developing curriculum materials and addressing the individual needs of students. Directs, implements, and evaluates the library program. Assists students in becoming effective and discriminating users of library resources . Develops and promotes programs, routines, usage scheduling, and procedures. Assists staff and students with technology. Provides basic instruction to staff or students for equipment use. Provides training for teachers, students, and community for technology and software.. Helps staff and students become comfortable with technology by being available to assist them. District Public Relations: Builds relations between local newspaper and the school district by providing calendar of events, and pictures of school events. Notifies paper of campus events. Designs and publishes Superintendent’s newsletter. Organizes and supervises campus video announcements.
