Programs Available for Primary Students

Lytle Primary
Lytle Primary offers a variety of different experiences as the
foundation of learning begins. The campus focuses on making
education a priority, from Head Start to 1st grade. The current
enrollment is 320 students.
Head Start/Pre-Kindergarten - offers a structured curriculum
for 3 and 4 year old students. Pre-K students begin their day at
7:45 and end at 2:45. Transportation is provided for all students.
Parents are given the opportunity to participate in the parent
learning network. Students qualify based on income guidelines.
Kindergarten and First Grade - begin their day at 7:45 and
end at 3:30. Both Kindergarten and 1st grade use the Open Court
curriculum which concentrates on the five components of reading
which are Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Phonemic
Awareness. The math curriculum is used to develop an appreciation
and deep understanding of math. Student Learning programs offered
include:

Accelerated Reading
Destination Math
Reading First
