EZ School Pay Changes

by Mary Wagoner

November 30, 2009

EZ School Pay has made some changes on their web site. These improvements will help you keep a watch on your student’s activities and spending. However, this information may not always be complete or up-to-date, for a variety of reasons. If there is a problem or a question on the account pleases call 830-709-5133 ext 4400 and I will be glad to help you. Here are the things that are being changed on their web:

1. The district will now be able to help you when you have forgotten your password.

2. We had a problem at the beginning of this school year when students were linked together as a family and one of the students moved to another campus. The student that moved was dropped or missing and the parent had to put them back on the family account. They have fixed this so it will not happen next year.

3. Transaction Viewing: you will now have the ability to view your students account activity. You will be able to view up to 30 days of activity. On the transaction page the balance and activities that you see may not be the same. The transaction view shows only the transactions as they are down loaded at the end of the daily closing. Various other factors can cause transactions to be missing on the web. They do not have it where you see immediately when something is happening on the account; it may be the next day before you can see the activity. When you go into look at this service for your student for the first time, it will be the next day before you will see the account info. But is should be for the first time only.  You will be able to see where your money is going.

4. Payments made online will not immediately appear in the student’s online transaction list. Parents can check the approval and status of online transactions using the “On-Line – Credits” menu instead. ( which can also be used for viewing receipts and for determining if the school has received and processed the credit yet)

5. Low Balance Reminders: Parents will be able to set balance reminder levels on EzSchoolPay so that email notices will be sent automatically when it’s time to make another payment.

Remember it is a free service to check you your students account. Just click on the EzSchoolPay key to the right of this article and follow the instructions. You must know your students ID number. If you do not know the number please call me at 830-709-5133 ext 4400.

Please bear with use on these new changes as all of you know computer programs can sometimes cause problems but it will be worth the time.

Thank you for using EzSchoolPay it makes paying on accounts so much easier for you and for me.
