Special Education Director Bids Farewell
by Teresa Kreger, Special Education Director

As this school year comes to an end so does my time with the district. After 33 years in special education (10 years as a teacher and 23 years as an administrator), I have decided to retire and pursue other personal goals in my life. My family moved into this area 8 years ago and I have been working with Lytle ISD since then. I have seen our programs and service provided to our students only get better throughout the years. It has been a pleasure working not only with the administration but also with the entire staff at Lytle. The commitment of the staff to our students is to be commended.
I leave knowing that the special education department will be in good hands. Mr. Robby Pierce, who has been our Vocational/ Transition Coordinator will be the new director. He has been with the Lytle school district for 13 years. During that time, he was a special education teacher for 8 years until he became the vocational/transition coordinator five years ago. He is a graduate from Sul Ross University. He recently received his masters in education as a principal.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve the students and staff at Lytle ISD.
I will miss everyone.
