The Lytle High School band competed in the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in Bandera on April 16th. The band spent countless hours and lots of hard and preparation for this contest.
Their efforts paid off as the band received a first-division rating in the Sight-Reading portion of the contest, and a second-division rating in the Concert portion.
The band definitely has reason to celebrate, it is the first time in 36 years that the band has received a first-division rating in Sight-Reading.
This record-breaking event will go down in history for the Lytle Pirate Band.
Good job to all.
