District Track Meet Results

Congratulations to both the girls and boys track teams for their accomplishments Saturday at the District 27-AAA track meet in Pleasanton. It was an outstanding effort by all teams, they did a fantastic job competing and representing their school. Regional qualifiers will advance to the Regional track meet in Kingsville on April 25th.
The Junior Varsity girls placed 3rd overall at the meet. Medalists include Brittany Flores 1st in the 1600m and 3200m. Bethany Rocker 2nd in the 1600m and 3200m. Kim Montgomery 3rd in the discus, 6th in the shot. Emma Marin 3rd in the 300 hurdles, 4th in the 100 hurdles, 5th in the 100m. Ingrid Rodriguez 3rd in the 100 hurdles, 5th in the 300 hurdles. Krystal Bernal 2nd in the 400m, 4th in the 100m. Amanda Rendon 5th in the 3200m, 6th in the 1600m. The 800m relay team of Bethany, Amanda, Ingrid, and Brittany placed 4th.
The Varsity girls placed 2nd overall at the meet, and are sending 8 participants and 2 alternates to the regional track meet. Regional qualifiers include Danielle Ortiz 1st in the 100m, 200m and long jump. Yvette Villarreal 2nd in the 3200m, 3rd in the 1600m. Macy Chapa 3rd in the 3200, 4th in the 1600m. Kadie Englehart 2nd in the long jump. Gretchen Rebollo 1st in the 400m, 2nd in the 800m, 5th in the long jump, 5th in the triple jump, 3rd in the mile relay. Katie Covell 1st in the high jump, 2nd in the triple jump, 3rd in the mile relay, 5th in the 100 hurdles. Lychelle Rebollo 3rd in the mile relay, 5th in the high jump. Jodie Buchanan 3rd in the mile relay, 6th in the 800m. Other medalists were Dominique Rodriguez 4th in the shot, 5th in the discus. Chelsie Casiano 4th in the 800m relay, 4th in the 400m relay, 6th in the 100m. Ashley Garza and Christine Morales 4th in the 800m relay and 400m relay. Kensey Camp 4th in the 400m relay.
Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity boys track teams placed 2nd overall at the meet. The following boys will be moving on to the regional track meet. Steve Piazza 3rd in the 200m. Andrew Rendon 3rd in the 400m, 3rd in the 800m. Brandon Lacy 1st in the 800m, 2nd in the 1600m. Sebastian Benavides 2nd in the 800m, 3rd in the 1600m. Jesse Perez 1st in the 3200m, 1st in the 1600m. Jeremi Holmquist 2nd in the high jump. All 3 varsity boys relay teams qualified for regionals. The 400m relay team of Clayton Joplin, Francisco Hernandez, Julian Martinez and Shawn Pringle took 3rd. The team of Clayton Joplin, Julian Martinez, Shawn Pringle, and Steve Piazza took 1st in both the 800m relay and 1600m relay. These 4 will be advancing in both relays.
