Texas Public Schools Week was a big hit. The whole week was filled with activities for parents to enjoy.
Our evening event which consisted of an outside BBQ was mouth watering good. Everyone seemed to be having a hot doggin' good time. I would like to thank Mr. Townsend and his students for helping out with the BBQ and setting out the hay bales for everyone to sit and eat.
Afterwards Lorraine De Leon our Reading RTA talked to the
parents about “What to do if your Child is struggling in Reading”.
She gave the parents tips and strategies to use to help their
children
at home.
Parents were also invited to attend a session with Mr. Lytle our Technology Coach. He demonstrated a program called TUX paint that is fun and easy to use at home for all children. You can download tux paint for your own use at www.tuxpaint.com.
Teachers were available in their classrooms for parents visiting classrooms. Teachers provided activities and work for parents to enjoy. The Book Fair was usual a big hit.
Thank you to all who visited during Texas Public Schools Week. As you know our doors are always open to those wishing to visit.
