Football Schedule set for 2008

The Lytle Pirate Football schedule for 2008 can now be found on the school’s web site at www.lytle-isd.net. The Pirates pre-season schedule is completely different. After their annual scrimmage with Holy Cross, the Pirates will scrimmage Comfort at home. Then, on August 29th, the Pirates will travel to Temple, Texas to play the Celina Bobcats for their opening game. The Pirates will also be playing host to S.A. Kennedy and S.A. Sam Houston while traveling to S.A. Memorial.
With all new opponents in the pre-season and a new UIL district, the Pirate football season will get to see some teams for the first time ever. The Pirates will also be reacquainted with many of their foes from years past. All in all, there is plenty to talk about at the coffee shop. Hope to see you at the games.
SPRING DATES TO REMEMBER:
• The District Golf Tournament will be held on March 30th in
Castroville and April 1st in Pleasanton.
• The High School District Track Meet will be held on April 3rd and
5th at Pleasanton High School.
• The District Tennis Tournament will be held on April 7th and 8th
at McFarlin Tennis Center in San Antonio.
• The Junior High Sports Award Ceremony will be held on Thursday,
April 24th in the Junior High Cafeteria at 7:00 p.m.
• The Lytle High School Sports Banquet will be held this year on
May 8th. We have much to celebrate. Please make plans to
attend.
Stephanie Patlan placed 6th at the THSWPA State Meet in Killen, Texas on March 14th and 15th. Stephanie is in the 97 lb. weight class. Great job Stephanie!!
