Lytle Students Make History
On November 1st, Mr. Corona's Microsoft Certification students went to St. Phillips College to take the first of four exams necessary to earn Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification. St. Phillip's College is a Microsoft IT Academy offering training and certification in a number of areas in the Information Technology fields. Students took their MS-Word training at the High School and went to St. Phillips College for their 50 minute exam. The MS-Word exam consists of 65 + tasks to be successfully performed. The tasks are divided into 5 areas of program use.
The following students are to be commended for earning their certification as Microsoft Word Specialists.
William Neely, Audrey Petrash, Jordan Aguinaga, Sharon Cadena, Tori Kircus, Nathan Palacios, Jessica Martinez, and Allyssa Estrada.
These are the first students in the history of Lytle High School to take and earn this sort of professional certification in IT. These certifications can be used for college credit at some universities. These certifications will also play an important role when applying for jobs in professions where such certifications are sought after and highly regarded, and in many cases required.
Please extend a warm and heartfelt congratulations to all these students for a job well done.
