Lytle ISD: Providing Services and Settings For Student Successes
April 13, 2007
An Opportunity for Every Child
Special Education provides a continuum of child-centered and supportive services combined to meet the needs of eligible students with disabilities ages birth through 21 years.
Students with disabilities have the opportunity to participate
in an education that is designed to meet individual needs.
Students are served in an educational environment which meets their
educational needs.
The goal is to provide students valuable daily educational
experiences, which will in turn lead to preparation for a lifetime
of meaningful living.
Parent and Community Involvement
We believe the parental and community involvement is essential to quality education. When parents participate, they become partners in the planning and teaching of their child.
Referral for Special Education
The referral process begins with a call to the student’s campus
counselor, beginning the Student Success Team (SST) process. This
process can be explained by your student’s campus counselor.
Referrals can be made by: parents or guardians or other family
members teachers adult student (18 years or older).
