Professional Application
Many of these positions require a degree and
certification/licensure, but a few specific professional positions
may not require such credentials. Examples of Professional
positions include teacher, administrators, social workers, and
administrative support (business, technology, etc.) Please check
job posting for correct application. Applications for teaching
positions are accepted year round.
NOTE: LISD only accepts internships from applicants
currently enrolled in college, or Alternative Certification
Programs, in the following areas: Special Education (pr-K-12),
Bilingual Education (pre-K-5), Secondary Math (8-12), Secondary
Composite Science (8-12), and Industrial Technology (8-12).
Support Applications
Support positions include instructional assistants, secretaries, clerks, certain specialists and technicians, and Nurse Aides. Support positions include custodians, food service workers, bus drivers and bus assistants, and maintenance workers (Appliance, Carpentry, Electrical, Electronic, HVAC, Painting, Plumbing, Welding, Grass and Landscaping.)
