Lytle Elementary Students (grades 2-5) prepare to Jump Rope for Heart on March 2, 2007. The event will take place during their class rotation times. Physical Education teacher Frances Bippert said, "This will be the 9th year that I have done this with the Elementary students; last year we raised $4,740.00; our best year was 2004 when we raised $5,748.00." The PE program will receive a banner and a gift certificate for equipment for their time and effort. The amount of the gift certificate will depend on how much money is raised by the students.
Students are practicing their individual rope and partner skills, then they will learn long rope skills in their Physical Education classes. They will have practiced several jump rope skills during PE to keep them jumping on March 2, 2007.
